Bake-Me-Down Recipes

This is adorable and wholesome and needs to be seen.

Lucky editor Mary Bilyeu of the online Newsletter The Blade had the opportunity to host a community submission of family recipes to be published in one of their posts. While most of them are cannily simple and surefire recipes to ensure a holly and jolly holiday season, the stories attached to them are more endearing than any family secret recipe can contend with. The heartful liberty of generous Christmas joy shines through in the ardor to submit and the willingness to share what makes the recipe special to one’s family; the campfire stories accompanying them are the sweet center of the season.

This is without mentioning the fact that this only immortalizes the recipes in the online  archive of the Internet, ensuring innumerable families of likewise generations to recreate and share another family’s staple recipe (and I love it.)
